Avery & Kelli hosted their wedding reception guests at The Deerfield Lodge in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Guests enjoyed cocktails while listening to some adult contemporary music until the Wedding Party arrived. They were introduced into the reception hall with Avery & Kelli walking in to “Cinnamon Girl” by Neil Young and then the entire wedding party danced to “Family Tradition” by Hank Williams, Jr.
After Kelli’s uncle, Leroy, gave the blessing, dinner was served buffet style by 2 Chef’s Catering. As dinner was concluding, the Best Man, Zach & Maid of Honor, Jenna toasted Avery & Kelli. After the toasts, Avery & Kelli cut the cake to “Better Together” by Jack Johnson.
For their first dance, Avery & Kelli danced to “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran.
Kelli and her dad, Gary, invited all fathers and daughters to join them as they danced to “Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns n Roses.
For the Mother-Son dance Avery and his mom, Sue, danced to “Simple Man” by Shinedown.
After the formal dances there was the bouquet toss (“Wishing’ & Hopin’ by Dusty Springfield) and garter removal and toss (“Legs” by ZZ Top). Just before open dancing, Avery’s parents, Randy & Sue, danced a special 40th Anniversary Dance to “Groovy Kind of Love’ by Phil Collins.
The rest of the night, family and friends enjoyed games on the lawn, great conversation, and dancing to their favorite tunes including classic rock, country, and today’s top 40 music.
Thanks Avery & Kelli for letting Erin & I be part of your special day! We had a great time with your wonderful family and friends. Have fun in Jamaica!Share
