What a way to start off the new year! Michael and Angela held their wedding and reception at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter, Mo. After a beautiful wedding ceremony in the church sanctuary, the guests moved to the church social hall for the reception via a reception line.
Michael and Angela took a few minuets torest as we got everyone seated in the hall and then we introduced the wedding party to “I Want To Hold Your Hand” by The Beatles. Michael and Angela chose to do their first dance, “In My Life” by The Beatles, before dinner.
Guest enjoyed a mix of “rat pack” and adult contemporary music for cocktails and dinner followed by the best man and matron of honor toasts.
Following the toasts and cake cutting Angela’s father, Donald, joined her for the father/daughter dance, “To Sir With Love” by LuLu. Then Michael escorted his mother, Patricia, to the dance floor for the mother/son dance, “Annie’s Song” by John Denver. During each dance, all other father/daughter & mother/son couples were asked to join them for the rest of the dance.
After the dollar dance, a friend of Michael & Angela’s, Eszter, did a belly dance performance and got the dancing started by inviting others to join her.
The rest of the evening guest enjoyed dancing to a mix of classic rock, oldies, and top 40 dance.
Erin and I had such a great time entertaining Michael & Angela’s family and friends. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your special day, and for your very kind note.
